Several commentators have said that the Liberal Party is in serious trouble after its landslide loss to Anthony Albanese in the 2025 election. The oxygen has been squeezed out of the party by Teals to the left of them and One Nation to the right.

However, the Liberals have the traditional allegiance of many voters (many of them note working class) and an experienced party machine.

In my opinion, the Liberals are in trouble at the moment, but will survive in the long term.
